Querida família,
Today we had Zone P-day and we played a game of soccer that was Brazilian versus Americans. The final score was 20 to 17. We were in the lead, and we almost won, but we lost it in the end. Now we just have to play a game of basketball and we will kick their butts.
The ward here is getting ready to divide, but they need to have more adults that are active. On Sunday there were 40 young-men at church. The problem is that their parents aren't members, but Elder Wright and I are going to work to change that. Lots of missioaries don´t even try to teach adults because it is more difficult, but if we want the church to grow we have to bring families and adults.
I feel like I am opening an area again because Elder Wright is only a month old on the mission and he doesn´t know the area or the members, and his old companion didn´t work so they didn´t have any investigators. I think the best idea is to visit all the recent-converts and young people whose families aren´t members and teach them, but I need to know where they live first.
Last week we taught the mom of a recent-convert, we took her to church we came to her house Sunday after church she told us that she had prayed to know if it was true and when she went to go to sleep the word "evangelho" (gospel) was passing through her head over and over and she felt good, relieved. I asked her if she thought this was an answer from God and she responded that she didn´t think so... She was certain that it was an answer. Then she said that if we were having a baptism the next Sunday she felt like she was ready. I didn´t disagree, so we marked her baptism for Sunday. The people just have to hear what we have to say, understand it, act on it, and they will know that it is all true.
Gotta go, but Happy birthday to Julia and Maegan, and send me a picture of Julia´s baptism.
